What To Wear In Ireland / Eire
To sum it up - pack for all seasons
- Smart casual will make you feel instantly at ease.
- Jeans are always popular.
- The weather can be very changeable in Ireland and it's not unknown to experience all four seasons in one day.
- Clever layering is the key to dressing for changeable weather.
- Pack a lightweight raincoat and umbrella what ever time of year you visit.
- Be aware that even in the summer, you're unlikely to see people wearing short shorts in Dublin.
- Pack smart shoes rather than trainers, as these are not welcome at all establishments.
- Keep Killer Heels for evenings and have comfortable shoes for all the day time sight seeing.
- if visiting in the winter (December – February) add in gloves and a scarf, and warmer layers. A smarter coat works best coupled with boots .... and don't forget a scarf, it makes a great fashion statement.
- No matter how cold it gets, you'll be sure of a warm welcome in the bars.
