What To Wear In Majorca
To sum it up - Cosmopolitan
- Locals really care about their personal appearance and image.
- On the whole they dress conservatively.
- Majorcan women make an effort when they go out, even when doing the daily shopping.
- In the evening, women dress more stylishly, particularly when dining out.
- If you are going to an average to high quality restaurant, wear something more dressy.
- Don't forget about your shoes,a pair of shabby shoes can let down a whole outfit.
- Save your shorts for the beach, wearing them elsewhere will label you as a tourist.
- A skirt or loose-fitting trousers are good in the heat and will protect you from the sun.
- Palma is a very 'cool' city with many business people around, dress more smartly.
- When you visit in the cooler months (November - March) it's worth bearing in mind that although you may view the temperatures as warm (in comparison to the freezing ones you may be used to over the winter), the locals don't. So if you want to blend in, then dress as they do. Sturdy shoes or boots, trousers, jumpers and a jacket.
