What To Wear In Malta
To sum it up - Smart casual
- The same applies in Malta as is the case pretty much throughout Mediterranean islands - Our advice would be to travel light. Malta's has hot, dry, summers.
- Smart casual will make you feel instantly at ease and jeans are always popular.
- All you need during the day for the pool or beach is swim wear, flip-flops, sunglasses, a hat and a sarong or kaftan for lunch.
- For day trips out Capri pants or a sundress are perfect.
- For the evenings again keep it light and simple lightweight Capri pants, dress or skirt work well with flip flops.
- Night life is a huge part of the Maltese culture and you will find the clubs, bars and restaurants mainly concentrated in the towns of Paceville and St.Julians.
- November - April will be cooler and wet so be sure to pack a lightweight raincoat and an umbrella will come in handy too.
- Layers are the key to coping with variable temperatures.
