What To Wear In Minorca
To sum it up - Cool and chilled
- Locals really care about their personal appearance and image.
- On the whole they dress conservatively.
- Minorcan women make an effort when they go out.
- In the evening, women dress more stylishly, particularly when dining out.
- Don't forget about your shoes,a pair of shabby shoes can let down a whole outfit.
- A skirt or loose-fitting trousers are good in the heat and will protect you from the sun.
- Good quality sunscreen, sunglasses and hat are key for sun protection.
- When you visit in the cooler months (November - March) it's worth bearing in mind that although you may view the temperatures as warm (in comparison to the freezing ones you may be used to over the winter), the locals don't. So if you want to blend in, then dress as they do. Sturdy shoes or boots, trousers, jumpers and a jacket.
